144/72-Hour Transit Visa Exemption Policy
At present, 20 cities including Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Qinhuangdao, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Jieyang, Shenyang, Dalian, Qingdao, Chongqing, Chengdu, Xi'an, Xiamen, Wuhan, and Kunming have implemented a 144-hour transit visa exemption policy.
Citizens from 54 countries can transit through the aforementioned cities to a third country (region) with a valid international travel document and a confirmed itinerary ticket for a specified date and seat within a limited time, without needing to apply for a visa. They are allowed to stay in the designated area for up to 72 or 144 hours, during which they can engage in short-term activities such as tourism and temporary business visits.
Additionally, three cities in China—Changsha, Harbin, and Guilin—have implemented a 72-hour transit visa exemption policy.

The Americas (six countries):
Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mexico, and the United States;

Australia and New Zealand;

Brunei, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Qatar, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates.
